Gerry has an old broken clavicle that causes his shoulder to spasm on the bike. After getting ART a few times this week, we kinesiotaped him on Friday afternoon. This tape job is designed to help his traps and scalenes relax while holding his humerus in a biomechanically optimal place. Visit our kinesio page for more info on this type of tape (which is ALL over Kona this year…).

Meet Deep Relief Athlete Adam Alper, preparing for his 2nd World Championship. Adam has been faithfully attending the ART tent all week for pre-race treatment, and is feeling in top shape since beginning to taper. If you have any questions on his Ironman preparations, shoot me an email and I will pass it on. Stay tuned for Adam’s results on Saturday!
Adam at the “Underpants Run” two days before the race

ART practitioners from around the world have gathered to volunteer their time and talent to triathletes competing in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Many athletes have relyed on ART treatment in past races and are making their way to the tent. Others who have never experienced it come looking for a “free massage” and leave pain- free and ready to race. I am here after a 3 day re-certification course and will be in the tent from 7am- noon Monday through Friday. If you’re in town for the race, come on by for some free treatment!
